| Struggling [1/15/2007] |
Everyday I meet fragmented people: the woman who is struggling to pay for her son's school fees and whose husband doesn’t have a steady job; the manager trying to juggle the demands of work while his family falls apart; the young single mother searching for a second chance at making the best of her life.
I realize that the woman with the issue of blood is very much alive and well in our extended families, in our workplace, in our community, in our schools. Yes even in beautiful sunny Suva and one has only to look past their rice - paper thin smiles to see the emptiness behind their eyes.
If you had the answer and could point them in the right direction, would you choose to?
Once upon a time a woman desperately pushed through a crowd to touch the hem of a garment of man who was THE ANSWER. And even more so now where ever we are, there is a need for us to tenaciously push through the crowds and lead them, the hurting and the lost, lead them, by example to reach out and touch the garment of the One who was the only answer to every question ever asked.
