Student International is a ministry that works with college students in the US and helps arrange mission trips for them.
We were blessed to have three of their teams visit us to volunteer on campus.
The first team with leader, Vito, from Nebraska were a great blessing to build our preschool playground. See the photo album showing the new swing set.
The second and third teams built chicken coops and chicken yards for our 150 broilers. The women worked on our "keyhole" gardens near the bures for vegetables. Both of these used concepts from Permaculture, using a simple garden techniques.
They also worked on making pottery. We are trying to dig our own clay, purify the clay, and fire it using traditional techniques.
Here are some shots from their time here with us. |

A team from Student International, an organization that works with colleges in the US, came and worked on our kids’ playground. They built a swing and a few other things for the kids to climb on, slide, and swing.

Work continues here on our campus with the clearing of the land and the ground work for the latest addition to the bure fleet.
Here are some shots from the ground-breaking ceremony and what the boys and Uncle Bill Walker have done so far.
These two bures will be for Makarita and Salote and their kids Elenoa and Joeli respectively. |
