| Cabinet Maker [3/3/2010] |
We have a great opportunity for a person who wants to use their woodworking skills to help people who cannot pay you back.
We could really use a person to make cabinets. The person could come to Fiji to live on campus with us for a minimum of 24 days to two months.
We use plywood sheets and semi-hardwood to build. We need boxes, shelves, and cabinets with doors. The person would also be asked to install and repair doors. At times we need beds and chairs made as well. The work is what we would label a joiner or a cabinet maker. A retired woodworker or someone who loves to work in their workshop doing simple woodworking is the right skill level.
We can offer food, a place to live, and wonderful company helping women and children. All of us live together; you would become part of our family.
The volunteer will have to meet our volunteer requirements as well as pay for their transport and assorted spending while here.
For the right person, this is a fun and exciting opportunity and a blessing for those of us on the receiving end!
