Overview
The Projects and Community Counsellor will provide essential support through effective report writing and active engagement with communities, families, and stakeholders. They will facilitate in-house and community training sessions, conduct counselling sessions both on campus and in the community, and think creatively beyond traditional practices. Advocating for a client-centered approach, they will network with other service providers to enhance support systems and ensure comprehensive care.
Requirement
A qualification in Counselling (degree/diploma) and 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role.
• A background and experience in Social Work is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability developing and implementing training programs.
• Must have experience in working with Microsoft Office and other software packages.
• Strong focus on staff development and coaching.
• A clean, current Fiji drivers’ licence will be an advantage.
• Experience and familiar with report writing.
• Ability and willingness to work with communities, families, and stakeholders.
• Facilitate and Conduct in – house and community trainings and awareness.
• Facilitate Counselling Sessions with the residents on campus as well as members of the
• communities that we work with. (home visitation, conduct assessments, build connections with the
• residents and communities)
• Ability to think outside of the normal counselling practices
• Flexibility
• Advocate for the client centred approach.
• Ability to Network with other service providers
• Hindi and I-Taukei speaking will be an advantage.
• Clean Updated Police Clearance
